Journey to your first solo...

While this is an exciting adventure, it can be quite daunting goal. This is why we are here to support you the whole way. We will give you all knowledge and practical skills you need to feel confident handling an aircraft. 

This is the very first lesson that every pilot takes. Effects of Controls goes through a number of basic skills that builds the foundation for your flight training.

In this lesson you will learn how to make the right corrections and deviations to maintain straight and level flight. 

At this stage you will be educated on the four types of climb: best angle, best rate, cruise and recommended and the three types of descent: glide, powered and cruise.

Our turning lesson builds on all skills that have been taught so far. You will learn to smoothly and accurately coordinate aileron and rudder to complete safe and steady turns.

A stall is a breakdown of the smooth airflow over the wing into a turbulent one, resulting in a decrease in lift. This lesson will teach you how to navigate this situation with confidence. 

A circuit is an orderly pattern used to position the aircraft for landing. This is an important lesson in you journey as it prepares you for some of the most important skills you will need to know… landing an aircraft. 

Advance circuits is simply growing on your existing knowledge of circuits and your basic training. It will give you a chance to consolidate your skills and use them all at once in a practical setting. 

Here you will learn about all the considerations and processes that need to be followed when diverting from a stanrd circuit flight. 

The moment you have been waiting for. This will be the first time you will get the chance to fly a plane solo – so explore and have fun.

Questions

This course is for anyone who wants to learn to fly. It is especially designed for teenagers who are interested in aviation as a career and thrill seekers who are wanting a new hobby. 

While there is no structured classes for this course – all hours must be used within 3 months. 

This course will give you the necessary skills to fly an aircraft solo. You will cover all the basic lessons for stable flight before moving on to more advanced training to prepare you for your big flight.

This is just the start of your flying career. With another 14 hours you can complete you Recreational Pilot Certificate. After that, the sky is literally the limit. You can add other RAAus endorsements to your certificate and fly around the country, you can convert your certificate to a General Aviation licence and study to become a Commercial Airline Pilot or you can take it easy and have some fun with your new passion.
